Best Hamburger Recipe

Being the ultimate food lover I have experimented with many recipes, hamburgers in particular spike my interest. Hamburgers are the ultimate guilty pleasure and can be enjoyed by everyone. Hamburgers can be made from chicken, turkey, soy meat substitutes and in some burgers eggplant substitutes as your meat patty. The best hamburger recipe however, calls for either beef or pork.

Jerk burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 lbs. beef mince
  • 1 scotch bonnet pepper
  • 3 stalk scallions
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 cup Red Stripe beer

Method

  1. Place beef mince in bowl, crack egg on top of it.
  2. Add salt and pepper to mixture.
  3. Finely chop scallions, garlic, thyme leaves and onion.
  4. Add chopped seasonings to mixture and combine ingredients with your hands.
  5. When satisfied that all the ingredients have been combined separate the mixture into eight 1/2 inch thick patties.
  6. Preheat the grill or griddle to 350? F
  7. Place burgers on the grill or griddle and cook for-
    • 2 minutes on each side for rare
    • 3 minutes on each side for medium
    • 5 minutes on each side for well done
  8. Pour Red Stripe beer over the burgers while cooking.

Cheesy jack mozzarella burger

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Beef mince
  • 1 egg
  • 3 oz. Monterey jack cheese
  • 3 oz. Mozzarella
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 Large onion
  • 3 Cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp. Black pepper
  • 1 tsp. Salt

Method

  1. Place beef mince in bowl, crack egg on top of it.
  2. Add salt, pepper and Italian seasoning to mixture.
  3. Dice onion, Monterey jack and mozzarella and finely chop garlic.
  4. Add chopped seasoning and cheeses to mixture, combining the ingredients with your hands.
  5. When satisfied that all the ingredients are combined, separate beef mixture into eight 1/2 inch thick patties.
  6. Preheat grill or griddle to 350? F.
  7. Follow cook times for recipe 1
  8. For best results grill burger until medium rare.

Tender pork and pineapple burger

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Pork mince
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Cloves garlic
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tsp. Black pepper
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 8 Slices pineapple

Method

  1. Place pork mince into bowl and crack egg on top of it.
  2. Add salt and pepper to mixture.
  3. Finely chop garlic and onion.
  4. Add chopped seasonings to mixture and combine the ingredients with your hands.
  5. When satisfied that all the ingredients are combined, separate mixture into eight 1/2 inch thick patties.
  6. Slice a freshly peeled pineapple into eight 1/2 inch slices. Canned fruit may be used as a substitute.
  7. Preheat grill or griddle to 350? F
  8. Follow cook times for recipe 1.
  9. Place the pineapple slices on the grill until for 30 seconds on each side.

Pork burgers do not need too many ingredients.

Tips

Tomatoes, lettuce, hamburger buns, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are all you need for your burgers. Forego the ketchup and mustard for the tender pineapple pork burger.
