  • marinade sauce
  • 2 qt. cold water
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano
  • 8 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

Handle meat properly
Raw meat can cause serious health hazards, so ensure that you wash your hands properly before handling raw meats or use gloves.

Pre-heat grill
Light the grill and turn it up to the highest heating point. If it is a gas grill, preheat to 350 degrees or if it is a charcoal grill, let the charcoals burn until there is white covering of ashes on all of them.

Make marinade sauce
Depending on what flavor marinade sauce you want the pork chops to have, you should combine the desired ingredients that gives the desired flavor in a bowl. This marinade sauce will be used throughout the grilling process.

Prepare pork ribs
The pork chops have to go through some form of preparation before going on the grill. You can do this by marinating the pork chops with the marinade mixture of ingredients. Some persons may also choose to pre-bake the pork chops in order to get it ready for the grill. Pre-baking pork chops in the oven can however take away the added smoky taste that the grill itself would have given to it. Rather it would have nothing beyond the barbecue sauce layered over it. Other persons prepare the pork chops by soaking it on marinade sauce. This can be done by putting all the ingredients together in a larger container and then placing the pork chops in the container to soak for a while. The flavor of the marinade adds even more flavor to the pork chops when it is finished grilling.

Barbecue pork chops
Put the seasoned pork chops on the heated grill and cover them up using the grill lid. Leave them for approximately 10 minutes. After 10 minutes has passed, turn the pork chops on the other side to be cooked for 10 minutes as well. After both sides are cooked, remove pork chops from the grill and place them on a cool surface and brush them with the marinade sauce as desired.  Return the glazed pork chops to the grill to be cooked internally at 175 degrees for another 5-10 minutes.

Serve pork chops
Remove pork chops from the grill and leave them for about 3-5 minutes. This will help to keep pork chops juicy and not let all the juices run out when it is being eaten. Grilled pork chops can be served without any side dish and still taste delicious.

Tips and Warnings

  • Ensure that you have all the utensils needed close by the grill. This will help to avoid mishaps and the pork chops getting burnt.
  • It good to have a bottle of water close by in the event that leakages from the pork chops cause a flare up on the grill. The water can be used to stop any flare up.
